Description
Rebozo | Birthplace
Rebozo is a shawl used in the South American tradition for many purposes, and it’s a vital companion of the woman in her life cycles. Rebozo is also a garment and used for baby wearing, ceremonial purposes and traditional medicine to name a few. More recently in the western world, we have become familiar with the use of Rebozo during labour. I encourage you to learn more about the history of the rebozo and rather than consider it a ‘tool’ that you appreciate it’s wisdom drawn from South American culture. These rebozo’s are handwoven by a local family in Oaxaca, Mexico.
